Mind you describe what you didn't like exactly? (terrible is quite generic and doesn't help us to improve). The sounds are a work in progress, we are still not done with them, but they are not even exactly at a very early stage. Using a keyboard to drive a car is not ideal, as you are limited yourself to 0-1 kind of inputs, missing (or just making it very hard) to ability to do smaller corrections.Ī controller, or even better a steering wheel, is recommended, the game's support quite many devices: Hitting a wall, even at a low speed, can certain cause some damage (still accordingly to the vehicle's era).Īlso, what you use to drive makes a lot of difference. For example driving a Italian supercar from the 70's with no driving aids/electronics won't be as easy as driving a modern Japanese car filled with all kind of aids such as ABS, TCS, ESC.Ĭars are also not invincible, as many Need For Speed games have though people over the years, they are delicate piece of equipment. Vehicles will act accordingly to their era and their equipment. I assure you we take physics realism very seriously, as it's one of the strong point of our game. If it's not your cup of tea, you can ask a refund to Steam directly: I'm sure I missed quite a few, though this should keep you busy for quite awhileThanks for your feedback, and sorry to hear you didn't like the game. (Note this mod needs to be repacked in order to work in 0.16) Not sure how this got past moderation, download it while you still can. Resource description explains what this is. Not quite sure which real semi truck this is based off of, but worth your time nonetheless. Download this mod first, then go to the Discussion tab to download the second part. The one, the only This is the base of a much larger mod that includes several fullsize Oldsmobile and Chevrolet vehicles from the early 80s. Not the highest quality due to some issues I'm still trying to iron out, but worth your time to check out if you're looking for real world cars to try out. I'm not sure of how it's working in 0.16, but it's worth checking out. A Citroen C2 that has been edited for repo use. I'm not sure what exactly this is either, but I'm about 99% sure this is a real world vehicle that has had its branding and badging removed and reworked with fictional variants. While underneath they're based on the T series, they're actually modeled around their real counterparts. A Monster truck, not sure what exactly it's based off of but if you look around the forums there are plenty of real world monster truck add-ons for this. There are plenty of real world vehicles on the repo, the thing is you have to know what exactly you're looking for, as while real world brands aren't allowed on the repository, real cars are as long as all trademarked and copyrighted content is removed and replaced. Of course, I can't vouch for any of these personally due to being a lazy repo plebian and also not downloading the praSu.Īs far as supercars go it would seem that "legit" modders aren't especially keen on real-life supercars, unless I'm missing something major. There is also the Hirochi praSu which is a MkIV Toyota Supra with different badges, but the jbeam is a somewhat-edited 200BX and the creator of the mod has stated that they are not proud of it. If they don't need to be scratch-made, someone has an FD RX-7 (no idea how good it is), schumacher made an AE86 (surprisingly detailed but not scratch-made, and game updates broke it), and Tsutarja495 has an S550 Mustang which has been spoken highly of even though the jbeam is allegedly K-series based. Someone at one point made a Datsun King Cab and an old Honda Prelude which were pretty sweet, but that was YEARS ago and you'd probably be lucky if you could even still find the things. I've seen evidence of an XB Ford Falcon but no idea how good/unique a mod it is or whether it has the Mad Max nosecone availalbe.Ī post in another thread mentions all three of those as examples of top-quality mods, as well as a Ford Fiesta Mk1 and Mazda Cosmo of which I was unaware. If you find the Codename: Oldsfullsize mod on the repo, there is a forum-only expansion pack for it that adds multiple real-life variants and bodystyles (Oldsmobile Delta 88 and Ninety-Eight), along with Chevrolet (Caprice) counterparts built on the same chassis. If you get it off the forum instead, it will show up in game as a Dodge Cornet, but I don't have the link. It's on the repo as the Gavril Gladiator, but is not intended to be lore friendly it just has the badges censored to allow repo uploading. Click to expand.Stoat Muldoon made a Dodge Coronet mod.
